Some of us have a MAJOR sweet tooth. I like to come up with recipes that satisfy that, because unless it is calmed, that sweet tooth can feel more like a monster craving taking over. Remember, if you’re eating food filled with nutrients, your body will definitely be more satisfied and have less cravings.
2 plump ripe strawberries, sliced
1 tablespoon slivered or sliced almonds, toasted
1 teaspoon raw local honey
Prep Time: 10 minutes
1. Lightly toast bread. Spread evenly with ricotta. Layer on sliced strawberries. Sprinkle with toasted almonds (toasting them makes all the difference), and drizzle with honey. Delicious.
*note: toast almonds at 400 degrees F for 5 minutes or until lightly browned
